On January 8, 2013, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, one of Canada’s leading institutional fund managers that manages funds primarily for public and private pension and insurance plans, completed its investment of approximately US$500 million in a portfolio of 13 operating wind farms in the United States and Canada that are owned and operated by Invenergy Wind LLC and its affiliated companies, and which collectively have an aggregate capacity of approximately 1,500 megawatts.

Following the transaction, Invenergy remains the majority controlling shareholder in the projects.

Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, owns and operates large-scale renewable and other clean energy generation facilities in North America and Europe. It is North America’s largest independent wind power generation company.

Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, is an institutional fund manager that manages funds primarily for public and private pension and insurance plans.
