On April 29, 2009, Sierra Wireless SAS (“Sierra Wireless”), a new company formed by Sierra Wireless Inc, for the purpose of making an offer, completed its challenging tender offer to acquire the entire ordinary share capital and all of the company's convertible bonds of Wavecom SA, an Issy-Les-Moulineaux-based developer of embedded wireless communications software, for C$325.631 million. 

Offer financing was provided to Sierra Wireless by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and The Toronto-Dominion Bank.

Sierra Wireless is a multinational wireless communications equipment designer and manufacturer headquartered in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.

McCarthy Tétrault LLP represented the lenders for the acquisition, with a team led by Joel Scoler.
