Nestlé acquires Atrium Innovations for US$2.3B

On March 8, 2018, Nestlé S.A. ("Nestlé") completed its acquisition of Atrium Innovations Inc. ("Atrium") for US$2.3 billion in cash. The acquisition was made through the purchase from an affiliate of Permira Funds and other shareholders, of all the issued and outstanding shares in the share capital of Acquisition Glacier II Inc., a company which wholly owns Atrium. Acquisition Glacier II Inc. amalgamated with Atrium and its affiliates following this acquisition.

Nestlé is the world's largest food and beverage company based in Switzerland. This acquisition will add to Nestlé's earnings immediately and will support Nestlé’s pursuit of growth opportunities in consumer healthcare to complement the company’s focus on its high-growth food and beverage categories.

Atrium is a global leader in nutritional health products based in Montréal, Québec with 1,400 employees.
