On June 29, 2005, Erie Shores Wind Farm Limited Partnership and its new owner, Clean Power Income Fund, completed the C$186 million financing of the Erie Shores Wind Farm project. At the time the project commenced operations in May 2006, it was the largest wind power project in Southern Ontario consisting of 66 1.5 megawatt turbines.

McCarthy Tétrault LLP represented Clean Power Income Fund, with a team led by Michael Weizman on this financing as well as development work including a turbine supply agreement.
