Razor Energy Corp. converts NOI Proceedings to CCAA Proceedings

On January 31, 2024, Razor Energy Corp. ("Razor Energy") announced that it filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal under the provisions of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act of Canada. The NOI Proceedings were subsequently converted to CCAA Proceedings.

FTI Consulting is acting as the court appointed Monitor of Razor Energy and will assist with the restructuring. Peters & Co. Limited will help seek out strategic alternatives including a sale of all or part of the company, a financing or refinancing, or a combination of any of the foregoing.

Razor Energy, based in Calgary, Alberta, is a publicly traded junior oil and gas development and production company concentrated on acquiring, and subsequently enhancing, oil and gas properties primarily in Alberta.

McCarthy Tétrault is advising Razor Energy with a team led by Sean Collins that includes Pantelis Kyriakakis, Brad Squibb, Kerri Howard, Nathan Stewart (Business), and Sean Smyth (Litigation).
