Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx select Scarborough Transit Connect as development phase contractor for Scarborough Subway extension

On November 30, 2022, Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx selected Scarborough Transit Connect as the development phase contractor to enter into a development phase agreement in relation to, inter alia, the development of a design for the stations, rails and systems for the Scarborough Subway extension (“SRS Project”).

Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx will deliver the 7.8-kilometre Scarborough Subway Extension through two separate projects, being (1) the SRS Project and (2) the Advance Tunnel project, which is currently under construction. The subway will remain publicly owned by the Province of Ontario and will be operated by the TTC as part of Line 2.
