On July 12, 2021, Champion Iron Limited and Québec Iron Ore Inc. completed various transactions, including the approximately C$650 million transactions for the refinancing of the mine, the preferred share investment by Caisse de placement et dépôt du Québec and the acquisition of the interest held by Ressources Québec Inc.

These transactions involved significant environmental and regulatory matters, including in respect to permitting for the client’s Phase II expansion project, and the application of the International Equator Principles risk management framework to the project.

Champion Iron Limited is an iron development and exploration company, focused on developing its significant iron resources in the south end of the Labrador Trough in the province of Québec. 

Québec Iron Ore Inc. is a mining development company managed by experts in Québec.
