Spencer holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Law from Carleton University. Prior to law school, he worked as a Program Officer in the Disease Emergency Response Division at Indigenous Services Canada. At Osgoode, Spencer was a Director and Senior Editor at the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and served as Director of Finance for the Osgoode Indigenous Students Association.

Outside of law, he enjoys traveling, scuba diving, fitness, entrepreneurship, and exploring trendy dining spots.
