Mélanie Houle is a counsel in our Labour & Employment Group in Montréal. Her practice focuses exclusively on immigration law.

Thanks to her wide-ranging experience, Ms. Houle has expertise in various aspects of immigration law, particularly international mobility of workers and businesspeople. She has practised with both a private firm and the Montréal International economic development agency. She has also been a political attachée at both the federal and provincial levels. Her vision of immigration issues is current, global and strategic.

Ms. Houle provides individuals, Canadian companies and multinational corporations with a wide range of legal advice, in particular regarding strategic international mobility issues related to corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and solving labour shortages. She assists clients throughout the process of obtaining visas, work permits, permanent residency and labour market impact assessments, as well as in the event of inadmissibility.

Ms. Houle was a customs officer before completing her law studies at Université de Montréal. She was called to the Québec Bar in 1998.
