Salessa is a JD student at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law. Prior to starting her journey in law, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Global Development from Queen’s University. During her time at Queen’s, Salessa was able to participate in the Bilateral Exchange Program, with a concentration in Politics, at Queen's University Belfast in Northern Ireland.

While at law school, Salessa participated in Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) as a research student volunteer, with a focus on interpreting laws and legal aid policies that impact families going through the family court system. Throughout her first-year summer, Salessa worked as an assistant trial coordinator with the Ontario Court of Justice where she gained exposure to various areas of law, such as commercial, family, and estates. She hopes to continue to make a difference in improving individual experiences with the legal sector, while also pursuing her areas of passion in litigation.

Salessa enjoys spending her free time travelling and being outdoors, while also caring for her adopted cat Merlin who enjoys leash walks.
