Patricia Ghannoum is an associate in the Litigation Group in Montréal. Her practice focuses mainly on civil and commercial litigation and more particularly on shareholder disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency, commercial leasing remedies as well as extraordinary and injunctive remedies. As part of her practice, Patricia is regularly called upon to plead before all courts of first instance as well as before the Quebec Court of Appeal.

Patricia has been involved in the following cases:

  • Represented a creditor (private lender) in several major proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA);
  • Represented a shareholder in an oppression action involving complex trust and tax issues;
  • Representation of a trademark licensee in an injunction proceeding relating to the renewal of its license in North America;
  • Represented an owner of rental properties in a multi-stakeholder mortgage fraud action;
  • Representation of trustees in a trust wind-up action involving several real estate properties;
  • Representation of a restaurant franchisor in the context of actions against franchisees;
  • Representation of real estate developers and construction professionals in litigation involving contractual breaches, construction defects and poor workmanship.

Patricia obtained her Bachelor of Civil Law (LL.B.) from the Université de Montréal in 2017. During her academic career, she participated in a summer program in Rio de Janeiro where she obtained a Certificate in Law and Technology. Driven by the mission of promoting access to justice, Patricia completed an internship at the Centre de justice de proximité du Grand Montréal where she provided free legal information services.

Patricia was called to the Quebec Bar in 2018 and is a member of the Young Bar Association of Montreal.
