Known for her superior diligence and highly personable approach, Kathy helps clients achieve their legal goals with effective and practical advice.

Kathy Tran is an associate lawyer in the Real Property and Planning Group in Vancouver.  Her practice focuses on commercial real estate law, including acquisitions and dispositions, property development, commercial leasing, and financing.  In addition to her transactional work, Kathy’s real estate practice covers various land title issues and regulatory compliance matters relating to real estate services in British Columbia.

Kathy also assists clients with asset or share purchase and sale transactions and private mergers and acquisitions involving real property.

Kathy has experience representing and advising real estate developers, brokerages, and investment companies in significant acquisitions and development projects across British Columbia.

Kathy obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in 2014, law degree from Thompson Rivers University in 2018, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2019.  While in law school, Kathy received significant awards for her academic achievements and was an active member of the legal community in Kamloops, British Columbia.  Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault LLP, Kathy worked at an international law firm in Vancouver practising in commercial real estate and corporate/commercial law.
