Before law school, Joshua obtained a Master of Arts in Political Science with a specialization in Canadian Politics and a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Specialization in Political Science at Western University. 

At Western, he developed a strong sense of civic duty and became involved in politics. Joshua worked as a Special Assistant for a Member of Parliament, where he staffed the Standing Committee on Agriculture, drafted communications, and produced policy analysis reports that he presented to elected officials in intergovernmental meetings. Joshua is also passionate about local campaigns. Notably, in the 2022 Ontario election, he was a Canvass Chair and Volunteer Coordinator in London-Fanshawe. His canvassing team was among the top five in the province for attempted voter contacts. 

In law school, Joshua has demonstrated academic excellence. Currently, he is ranked first in his class. He is also a Dean’s List student. Joshua obtained a Book Award for having the highest grade in Comparative Legal Writing and Research II. He finished at the top of his class in Canadian Constitutional Law and Canadian Civil Procedure. 

Joshua is also active on campus. As a Student Attorney at Detroit Mercy’s Veterans Law Clinic, he worked with military veterans to help them obtain benefits for service-related disabilities. Currently, he is a Junior Editor for the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues and the VP of Finance for the Family Law Society. 

Outside of law school, Joshua volunteers as a Research Assistant and analyzes American class action law. 

For fun, Joshua enjoys card games with his friends, playing volleyball, and winning his fantasy football league.
