Jennifer completed her JD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she obtained her Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo School of Planning, and Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design. Before embarking on her legal career, Jennifer was an urban planner at a global urban design and planning consultancy based in Toronto and worked on projects in Canada and the United States. 

At law school, Jennifer was an executive member and subsequently Co-President of the Asia Law Society to promote equity and diversity and help Asian-identifying students build a strong community at the Faculty of Law. As one of the 2021 Orientation Student Coordinators, sheorganized and facilitated social events to foster an inclusive and connected community to welcome incoming first-year law students. She was also a member of Ultra Vires, the independent student newspaper, and the University of Faculty of Law Review Volume 79, and volunteered with the Pro Bono Students Canada. 

In addition, she worked at OMERS as part of McCarthy Tétrault LLP Business Law / OMERS Summer Internship where she gained invaluable client-side experience. To continue her community-building work, she currently serves as a Student Director at the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL) Ontario.
