Izabela Kus is a law clerk in our Real Property and Planning Group in Toronto. Izabela supports our clients by assisting the lawyers with all aspects of real property transactions with an emphasis on acquisitions, dispositions and related financings. Her responsibilities include drafting of due diligence and closing documents for acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development in commercial transactions. Izabela also does extensive work in municipal agreements, easements, Planning Act matters, and Committee of Adjustment applications / consents. Izabela is highly proficient in complex title analysis, identifying and resolving title defects, negotiating title insurance, preparing and registering conveyancing and financing documentation, and assisting in all facets of real property transactions. She regularly prepares Title Reports, Title Opinions, reviews Surveys and complex Plans. Izabela has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the legal concepts and principles related to all aspects of real property and planning. She is a mentor who assists the real property department with training junior colleagues in title matters, Teraview electronic system and transactional work.
