Gurleen is a J.D. student at the University of Alberta, where she recently completed her first year of law school. Prior to attending law school, Gurleen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with Distinction from the University of Alberta. Following her undergraduate studies, Gurleen worked for Alberta Health Services where she was responsible for managing staffing levels across various healthcare facilities. 

During her legal studies, Gurleen volunteers as a caseworker for Student Legal Services, providing legal assistance to low-income clients on their civil and family law matters. She has also served as a Grant Assessment Director for the Law Students’ Association and is a member of the Women’s Law Forum. Gurleen has received the Merv Leitch Q.C. Leadership in Law scholarship in recognition of her community service. 

In her free time, Gurleen enjoys cooking, hiking in the mountains, and exploring new cafés.
