Liam is a JD student at the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of Law. Before attending law school, Liam completed two undergraduate degrees – one in Political Science and Economics and the other in Mathematics – at the University of Ottawa. During these degrees, Liam worked as a research assistant studying post-quantum cryptography, as well as a policy analyst for the Federal Government of Canada. 

Following his undergraduate degrees, Liam worked as a data scientist and machine learning researcher before returning to school to complete a master’s degree in Statistical Machine Learning at the University of Alberta. During his tenure at the University of Alberta, Liam collaborated with some of the leading researchers in the field of artificial intelligence and published papers at the world’s top AI conferences. At law school, Liam volunteered as an editor for the UBC Law Review, is the co-President of the Allard Legal Tech Club, involved with research regarding AI and the law.

Liam has lived in four continents and across six provinces and territories and maintains a deep love of travel and adventure. Along with playing just about any sport involving sticks, rackets, or balls, Liam is an avid hiker, runner, climber, and cyclist.
