Amanda Cinnamon is Senior Director, Professional Resources (National – Tax and Real Property & Planning). In this role, she is responsible for supporting talent management in respect of the national tax and real property & planning senior associates as well as career lawyers, including career development, mentoring, compensation, performance reviews and advancement. Prior to holding this role, she spent several years at the firm as the Director, Professional Resources for the Albertia and BC regions and was responsible for programs relating to students and associates in our Calgary and Vancouver offices. Amanda also leads the firm`s (non-equity partner) lateral lawyer hiring initiatives nationally, working in close collaboration with the firm`s practice groups, industry groups and regional Professional Resources teams to support their lateral hiring needs. 

Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, Amanda practiced as a securities lawyer with two large national firms and served as in-house counsel for two Vancouver-based public companies.

Amanda completed her undergraduate degree (2004) and LL.B (2007) at Western University. She was called to the Alberta bar in 2008 and the British Columbia bar in 2010.
