On August 1, 2007, Tricor Pacific Capital, Inc., a Vancouver private equity firm with offices in Vancouver, B.C. and Lake Forest (Chicago), IL, acquired a 50% equity interest in Advance Engineered Products Ltd. from the existing shareholders of Advance. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

McCarthy Tétrault advised Tricor with a team that was led by J. Mcintosh, and included Ira Cooper, Bram Green, Gregory Liakopoulos, and Kevin Wright.
