On February 2, 2009, Seacliff Construction Corp. acquired Canem West Services Inc. and Canem West Operations Inc. (collectively, "Canem West") for an aggregate purchase price of C$8 million. 

Seacliff Construction, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, provides general contracting construction, electrical contracting, earthmoving, and heavy civil construction services to public and private sectors in Western Canada.

Canem West Services, headquartered in Richmond, British Columbia, provides design, installation, and maintenance services for commercial electrical, data communication and cabling management, riser management, and building management and operations systems.

McCarthy Tétrault LLP represented Seacliff Construction, as acquirer, with a team led by Michael Urbani and Robin Mahood.
