On October 28, 2005, Royal Bank of Canada and RBC Capital Trust completed an offering in Canada of $1.2 billion of Trust Capital Securities—Series 2015 (RBC TruCS). This offering represents the largest single offering of innovative tier-one capital by a Canadian financial institution to date. The issue was underwritten by a syndicate led by RBC Dominion Securities Inc.
