On November 30, 2007, Brookfield Power Wind Prince Financial Corporation and its owner Brookfield Power Inc. completed a $300 million refinancing of the construction loans for the Prince wind project. The project is directly owned by Brookfield Power Wind Prince LP (which is a full recourse guarantor of the debt) and consists of two phases: a 90 MW wind farm, consisting of 60 wind turbines and a 99 MW wind farm, consisting of 66 turbines, all located near Sault Ste. Marie Ontario. Now completed, the project is the largest wind farm in Canada.
