On October 2, 2007, Petrobank Energy & Resources Ltd acquired all the issued and outstanding shares of Rocor Resources Inc, an oil and gas exploration and production company, for total consideration of approximately C$53 million. The acquisition of the private company was completed by plan of arrangement and subject to customary approvals.

Petrobank Energy and Resources Ltd. is a Calgary-based oil and natural gas exploration and production company with operations in western Canada and Colombia.
