On June 6, 2007, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan acquired four marine container terminals in North America from Orient Overseas (International) Limited of Hong Kong for $2.4 billion US. The assets will be held within the pension plan’s infrastructure and timber portfolio.

The operations include TSI Terminal Systems Inc.'s Deltaport and Vanterm facilities in Delta and Vancouver, British Columbia; New York Container Terminal, Staten Island, New York; and Global Terminal and Container Systems, Inc., Bayonne, New Jersey.
