On January 19, 2012, it was announced that Hexagon has entered into an agreement to acquire all outstanding shares of MicroSurvey Software Inc.

MicroSurvey Software, headquartered in Kelowna, British Columbia, is a leading Canadian based developer of surveying and mapping software for the land surveying, construction, and forensic markets.

Hexagon Group, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweeden, is a leading global provider of design, measurement and visualisation technologies.
