On May 3, 2007, Siemens AG completed the sale to Mahle GmbH of certain assets of the business segment Siemens VDO Automotive Powertrain AM/AF. The transaction closed on May 31, 2007. Although a significant portion of the target business was located in Canada, the transaction involved simultaneous closings in various countries including Germany, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, China, The Republic of Korea, and Japan.
