On May 1, 2009, Lafarge Canada Inc. completed the sale of its asphalt and paving construction business in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to Dexter Construction Company Limited, a privately held company.

Lafarge Canada, headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, is the largest diversified supplier of construction materials in the U.S. and Canada.

Dexter Construction, headquartered in Bedford, Nova Scotia, is a construction and environmental services company.
