Instar Asset Management acquires AMPORTS

On April 3, 2018, Instar Asset Management Inc. announced that it has acquired, alongside its Canadian and international infrastructure co-investors, AMPORTS, Inc. from Lincolnshire Management, Inc. The financial terms of the transaction were undisclosed. The transaction is aimed at supporting AMPORTS' expansion and to further enhance its market-leading infrastructure and competitive position.

Instar is an independent alternative asset management firm based in Toronto that focuses on mid-sized infrastructure, real assets and private equity investments. It owns the passenger terminal at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

AMPORTS is an automotive processing and port logistics company, and is a vital link in the global transportation supply chain of many of the world’s largest automotive original equipment manufacturers. AMPORTS, headquartered in Florida, has operations in the United States and Mexico.
