On June 1, 2009, Atria Networks LP acquired Halton HIlls Fibre Optics Inc., including its wireless division, Hummingbird Wireless, from Halton Hills Community Energy Corporation.

Atria Networks, headquartered in Markham, Ontario, owns and operates one of Ontario's largest fibre-optic networks.

McCarthy Tétrault LLP represented Halton Hills Community Energy, as vendor with a team that included Sean O'Neill and Leslie Milroy.
