On November 15, 2022, Gryphon Investors ("Gryphon") announced they have invested in Caylent, a cloud-native services business. This investment will allow Caylent to expand and partner with Amazon Web Services.

Gryphon based in San Francisco, California, is a private equity firm.

Caylent based in Irvine, California, is a cloud-native services business.

McCarthy Tétrault advised Gryphon on Caylent’s Canadian operations with a team led by Shevaun McGrath that included Sarah Chiavarini, Christopher Yam (Business), Simmy Sahdra, Caroline-Ariane Bernier, Danielle Douglas, Jasmin Ethier, Abby Nann (Labour and Employment), Kelleher Lynch, Julia Miller (Pensions), Stephanie Dewey,  Mathew  Kraemer (Tax), and Erin Keogh (Competition).
