Groupe Commensal acquires Alasko Foods

On October 16, 2020, New Alasko Limited Partnership (“New Alasko”) acquired certain assets of Alasko Foods Inc. and Alasko Foods LLC (collectively, “Alasko”), a company in the sourcing and commercialization business of frozen fruits and vegetables across North America.

Groupe Commensal Inc. (“Commensal”), a company specialized in the manufacturing and wholesale distribution of vegetarian foods, and Avrio Subordinated Debt LP II, a venture capital division of Farm Credit Canada, formed New Alasko in order to acquire Alasko (the “Transaction”).

The Transaction was approved by the Superior Court of Quebec pursuant to an Approval, Vesting, Assignment and Exit Charge Order dated October 15, 2020, in furtherance of a sale and investment solicitation process.
