On December 11, 2012, The Province of British Columbia, as represented by the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, the B.C. Transportation Financing Authority and EGRT Construction, an affiliate of SNC-Lavalin Capital Inc., entered into an C$889 million design, build, finance agreement for the construction of the Evergreen Line Rapid Transit Project.

The design, build, finance agreement is the key contract in the C$1.4 billion Evergreen Line Project, a new rapid transit line that will connect Coquitlam to Vancouver via Port Moody and Burnaby.

The contractor team was co-ordinated by SNC-Lavalin Capital Inc.  The primary contractor for the project is EGRT Construction.  EGRT Construction has engaged a number of subcontractors for the design and construction of the Evergreen Line, including SNC-Lavalin Constructors (Pacific) Inc., SNC-Lavalin Constructors (Western) Inc., Graham Building Services, a joint venture comprising Graham Building Services LP and Jardeg Construction Services Ltd., SELI Canada Inc. and Thales Canada Inc.
