On October 4, 2006, Eicon Networks Corporation and Intel Corporation completed the sale of Intel's media and signaling business assets to Eicon. Intel's media and signaling business includes all of the product lines from Intel's Dialogic acquisition, as well as Host Media Processing (HMP) software and HMP-enabled blades. Intel's complete line of SS7, PBX integration and gateway solutions are also included in the sale. The acquisition allows Eicon to become a leading player in the media processing and signaling market segment.

Eicon Networks Corporation (now Dialogic) was a privately owned designer, developer and manufacturer of communication products founded in 1984 with headquarters in Montreal, Canada.

Intel Corporation is an American multinational technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, California. Intel is one of the world's largest and highest valued semiconductor chip makers, based on revenue.
