On July 19, 2012, Chicago Growth Partners acquired Caprion Proteomics Inc. from Great Point Partners LLC, Thallion Pharmaceuticals Inc., and Covance Inc.

For its 16% stake, Thallion Pharmaceuticals said it will receive approximately US$4.5 million in cash with US$3.9 million payable immediately and US$583,000 held in escrow to be released within the following 15 months.

Caprion Proteomics, headquartered in Montréal, Québec, is a provider of proteomics biomarker and target identification services.

Chicago Growth Partners, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, is a private equity firm focused on leveraged buyout and growth capital investments in middle-market companies.
