On June 15, 2006, The Brookfield Properties Consortium completed the sale of six office properties in Calgary, Alberta to a subsidiary of Dundee REIT for a total consideration of C$216,500,000. The six properties were acquired in 2005 as part of the Consortium’s acquisition of the O&Y REIT. The Brookfield Properties Consortium consists of BPO Properties Ltd., the Canadian-based subsidiary of Brookfield Properties Corporation, and two institutional investors, one of which is a subsidiary of CPP Investment Board.

McCarthy Tétrault advised the lenders to the acquisition with a team that included Fred Rubinoff and Jamie Orzech.
