On March 2, 2007, Bolloré S.A. acquired Avestor Limited Partnership. Avestor Limited Partnership filed a notice of intention to make a proposal to its creditors on October 30, 2006.  Under its court and creditors-approved proposal, Avestor sought to sell all or substantially all of its assets to an interested bidder, which it did to Bathium Canada Inc. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bolloré S.A.).
