On September 28, 2007, The Bank of Nova Scotia acquired all the shares of Dundee Bank of Canada. The Bank of Nova Scotia also acquired 18% of equity in Dundee Wealth Inc.
This strategic acquisition gave Scotiabank an 18 per cent equity interest in Dundee Wealth, which has $63 billion in assets under management or administration in various units, including full-service fund-dealer and brokerage operations.
