In August 2005, Aastra Technologies Ltd. of Canada acquired the German telecommunications company DeTeWe Systems GmbH from the German Röchling Group. The acquisition is the continuation of the acquiror's consolidation process.
McCarthy Tétrault advised Aastra with a team that was led by George Takach, and included David Tennant and Danielle Bush.
