Virginie Simard is a partner in our Litigation Group in Montréal. Her practice focuses mainly on civil litigation and administrative law, including medical and professional liability as well as disciplinary law.

Virginie joined the firm as a partner in 2018. Previously, she practised at a major firm where she represented insurers and various stakeholders in the health sector in civil proceedings, arbitration and coroners’ inquests. She has developed a vast expertise in health law.

Virginie taught in the Expertise Medicine program at the Université de Montréal. She was a member of the executive committee of the Insurance and Civil Litigation section of the Canadian Bar Association, Quebec branch, from 2014 to 2017.

Virginie obtained her bachelor’s degree in civil law from the Université de Montréal in 2009. She was called to the Québec Bar in 2009 and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Young Bar of Montreal.
