Tyson is entering his final year of law school at the University of Calgary. Prior to attending law school, he graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University, where he earned his Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a focus in Finance and Accounting. Tyson worked for a Canadian energy company and a local Calgary business in its accounting department before starting his legal studies.

During his first summer in law school, Tyson worked in McCarthy Tétrault’s Calgary office, and during his second summer, he has been completing a secondment at an international energy company. In law school, Tyson was the project lead for the Trans ID Clinic with Pro Bono Students Canada and has been recognized for his involvement and meaningful contribution to the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

In his free time, Tyson loves to do anything outdoors, from participating in winter sports to hiking in the mountains.
