Born in Munich and raised in Seattle, Stephan currently resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Business and Administration from the University of Winnipeg. Stephan recently completed his second year of law school at the University of Manitoba and hopes to practice business law once he is called to the bar.

During law school, Stephan volunteered on a Pro Bono Students Canada project, was an editor for the Canadian Journal of Human Rights, and took part in the first year mini moot competition. In the summer of 2022, Stephan worked as a law student at an international lottery and gaming company while continuing his work for the Canadian Journal of Human Rights. For his final year of law school, Stephan will be a senior editor for the Canadian Journal of Human Rights.

Stephan originally moved to Winnipeg in 2010 to pursue a career as a professional ballet dancer with Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet. After his successful career in dance, Stephan was a server, bartender, and general manager at several prominent restaurants and cocktail bars in the Winnipeg area.

In his spare time, Stephan enjoys playing board games with friends, trying new restaurants, and learning about wine.
