Sian is currently completing her Bachelor of Civil Law and Juris Doctor at McGill University’s Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, Sian completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at McGill, where she was recognized with First Class Honours and the Maurice Goldenberg Memorial Scholarship.

Throughout her time at McGill, Sian has been deeply engaged in community involvement and held various on-campus executive positions. She served as President for the McGill Sports and Entertainment Law Association, Golden Key International Honour Society, and She’s the First McGill, VP Communications for the McGill Law Students Association, and VP Internal for McGill Students for OXFAM-Quebec and End Poverty Now. Additionally, she was an appointed member of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Committee at the Faculty of Law.

Sian is dedicated to promoting access to justice and legal education. As a Caseworker at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill, she conducted intake interviews and provided comprehensible legal information to clients. She was also a Workshop Instructor for the L.E.X. Outreach Program, where she taught legal concepts to high school students. In addition, through the Equal Voice Rosemary Spiers Leadership Grant, Sian established the Montreal Employment Law Information Project, where she partnered with Montreal CEGEPs to conduct workshops and teach students about employment-related rights. Finally, Sian was a Tutorial Leader for the First-Year Integration Workshop at McGill and simultaneously taught a 3-credit course on Entertainment Law, where she developed a curriculum and expounded legal concepts to a cohort of her peers. 

In her spare time, Sian enjoys exploring the Montreal food scene, biking around the city, travelling, and reading.
