Shawn Foster is an associate in our Litigation Group in Montreal. His practice focuses mainly on health law, professional and medical liability, disciplinary law as well as civil and commercial litigation.

Shawn represents physicians in matters before the courts and administrative tribunals, as well as in disciplinary matters related to complaints filed with healthcare institutions or the Collège des médecins du Québec.

Shawn’s practice also covers a variety of litigation cases across many industries, including those arising from contract disputes or matters of civil liability.

Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Shawn practiced with an international firm where he notably acted for employers in matters related to the management and dispute of claims for employment injuries.

Shawn completed a bachelor’s degree in law at Université Laval in 2021 and was called to the Quebec Bar in 2022.
