Law School

McGill University

Shania will obtain her B.C.L./J.D. from McGill University in December 2025. Prior to starting university, she studied law and civilization with mathematics at Champlain Regional College, where she received the Student Leader Award and the South Shore University Women’s Club Award in recognition of her academic excellence and her community involvement.

From the outset of her legal studies, Shania dedicated herself to developing her research and legal writing abilities. She served as both a caseworker and a student advocate for the Legal Information Clinic at McGill, leading her to undertake extensive legal research and represent multiple students facing disciplinary complaints. Her commitment to social justice also motivated her to join the Center for Research-Action on Race Relations as a pro bono researcher, for which she was honored with the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award. As President of McGill’s Women of Colour Collective, she is committed to promoting inclusivity and equity within the student community.

Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Shania gained practical experience at a civil litigation law firm by working on a variety of class action and medical liability cases.

In her spare time, Shania enjoys spinning, discovering new restaurants, and reading dystopian novels.
