Saif Hashmi is an Associate Principal with the IT Venture Fund, based out of Toronto. He joined BDC Capital in 2016 with the Co-Investments Fund where he worked on some of the top later stage technology deals. In his current role, he is responsible for sourcing and managing deal flow,  executing transactions and assisting in portfolio management post-close. Saif currently serves as board observer for Vendasta, Battlefy, Mojio, Axonify, Solink, Kira Talent and FOKO Retail.

Prior to joining BDC Capital, Saif held positions at BroadGrain Commodities as a Trading Analyst, MTL Capital as a Private Equity Associate and Industrial Alliance as an Equity Research Associate.

Saif is highly involved in the community and currently is President of the Toronto Chapter of Young Canadians in Finance.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Finance (Joint Honours) from McGill University. He has also completed levels I and II of the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
