Sabih Ottawa holds a JD from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University, where she studied finance and accounting. Prior to law school, Sabih worked in the financial services department of a major Toronto full-service law firm. 

While in law school Sabih was a passionately involved student on campus. She sat on multiple committees including: the Admissions Committee, Faculty Appointments Committee and Mental Health Committee. Sabih also volunteered at Community Legal Aid Windsor throughout her time in law school, where she supervised students providing legal services to low-income and vulnerable people. In her final year at school, Sabih acted as a research and teaching assistant, researching legal topics such as, transnational law, and teaching legal research and writing. Sabih has also received several awards while at Windsor Law, most notably, Top Oralist in multiple moot competitions and the Jean Teillet Access to Justice award. 

Outside of law, Sabih centers her community involvement around poverty alleviation and youth advocacy. The Women’s Law Association of Ontario recognized Sabih for her achievements in the workforce, community involvement and personal resilience by awarding her the Honourable Justice Sandra Chapnik Award. In her spare time, Sabih enjoys weightlifting, hot yoga, watching sit-coms and reading memoirs.
