Rayan is a student at the McGill Faculty of Law, where he will be completing his studies in Common Law and Civil Law in 2024. Before commencing his law studies, Rayan studied humanities under the business profile at John Abbott College, where he received the Outstanding Achievement Award for his academic achievement and his involvement in student life.

Rayan has been involved in various associations during his time in university. In his second year, he was vice-president of finance for the Law Students’ Association at McGill. In his third year, Rayan was vice-president of finance for the McGill North African Students' Association, which he helped establish. That same year, he became involved with the legal clinic of the Center for Research-Action on Race Relations, where he was able to acquire a more in-depth understanding of the law and its practical applications.

Rayan also participated in two moot court competitions: the Coupe Guy-Guérin, where he received top honours for his opening statement, and the Sopinka Cup, where he came in first and was given the award for the best opening statement.

In his spare time, Rayan enjoys boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
