McGill University

Narain is completing his second year of the B.C.L./J.D. law degree at McGill University. As an Adams-Burke Global Justice Fellow and founding member of the Transnational Justice Clinic, he has provided support and research for litigation efforts on issues that cross borders, including work on behalf of youth plaintiffs against the Peruvian state for inaction on deforestation. He was a research assistant for both the Canada Research Chair in Human Rights, Health and Environment and for Indigenous Constitutionalism and Philosophy. He also worked as a caseworker at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill.

Before studying law, he was a fellow with the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Policy, and worked for the Principles for Responsible Investment, a UN-supported initiative promoting sustainable investment. Narain’s previous roles include working as a facilitator for climate engagement in the UK, and as a social researcher with the public sector and non-profits. He obtained a graduate degree in Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan, an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics, and a BSc in Global Health from the University of Toronto.

Narain enjoys live music, playing basketball, and is an avid Arsenal football fan.
