Morgane L. Besner is an associate in our Business Law Group in Montreal. Her practice focuses on environmental and regulatory law.

Morgane assists clients across various sectors, notably in renewable energy, industrial and agricultural projects. She helps them obtain or modify the necessary authorizations to complete their projects and comply with Quebec’s environmental and regulatory requirements. She advises clients with respect to separate collection and the extended producer responsibility, monitors various regulatory changes and has acquired a strong knowledge of clean fuel programs in Quebec and Canada.

Morgane acts in all aspects of sale and commercial and real estate acquisition transactions by providing due diligence reviews, ensuring compliance and reviewing environmental claims and safeguards. She also has experience in Aboriginal law, having been involved in a number of negotiations on behalf of Indigenous communities, and advises clients with respect to consultation and accommodation and the participation of Indigenous communities in energy and natural resource projects.

Morgane obtained her joint BCL/JD degree from McGill University's Faculty of Law in 2019 and was called to the Quebec Bar in 2021.
