Milica’s approach to the practice of law is informed by her experience working in the social enterprise and public health sectors prior to law school. After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences with a minor in International Studies at Simon Fraser University, she worked in Vancouver, Quito, and Kampala with organizations focused on providing local solutions to education, healthcare, and environmental issues. Milica subsequently worked in various roles in BC’s public health sector, primarily in the areas of HIV/AIDS and harm reduction.

Milica obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. During her time at law school, Milica volunteered as a member of Amnesty International’s Digital Verification Corps (DVC), a senior editor of the Indigenous Law Journal, and a researcher for both the Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking and the Pacific Centre for Environmental Law and Litigation. She also worked as a caseworker in the Immigration and Refugee division of Downtown Legal Services and as a research assistant in global health and human rights law. After law school, Milica completed a clerkship with the BC Supreme Court.

In her spare time, Milica enjoys hosting and cooking for friends and family, running, travelling, and spending time in the sun.
